How much does a treatment cost? At Balancing Point Acupuncture we use a flat fee of $60 per office visit
for acupuncture. This includes the first visit which can be 90 minutes long. Many practitioners charge more
for the initial consultation. The flat fee includes all services, consultations, assessment, diagnosis and
treatment modalities. (Herbs or other products are not included in this fee). You will never have a hidden
charge or surprise with your bill.
Does acupuncture hurt? We customize your treatments to bring the quickest results possible with a minimum of
discomfort. When an acupuncture point is stimulated, the result is called the “arrival of Qi.” Initially there
may be a slight sensation, but there should not be pain. Individual attention and care is our utmost priority.
Are the needles re-used? At Balancing Point Acupuncture we use only the finest grade materials. All our needles
are sterile, disposable, single use.
How long is a visit? The first visit is typically One and a half hours in length, depending on your needs and the
condition being treated. You may download the forms needed for your first visit by clicking here to avoid
taking the time to fill them out at your initial appointment. Subsequent visits are usually an hour, but may be
as short as 30 minutes, depending on your condition.
Do you take insurance? Always check with your insurance company to see if they cover acupuncture. If they
do, we will gladly provide the paperwork for you to file with your insurance for reimbursement. Balancing
Point Acupuncture is a fee for service clinic.
How many treatments will it take? Acute problems are resolved most quickly and may even be relieved on the
first visit. Subsequent visits are made to strengthen the effect and improve long-term results. More chronic
illness takes longer to resolve, perhaps several weeks or months. It is important to note that the longer the
problem has been established, the longer it may take for the body to come to balance. I will explain the
nature of your condition and a plan for treatment, so that you will always feel informed. Our goal is to aid
your body’s natural ability to heal itself.
